My first visit to Lewis and Clark Caverns was back in the mid 1970’s. We rode an open car train up to the entrance. The park did away with the train a couple of years later due to safety issues. I remember how neat it was and how dark when they turned off the lights.

I had wanted to take Brian and Jessica here but we ran out of time. When we arrived at the park the Paradise Tour was sold out. They have three tours; Paradise Tour is the easy tour for us with bad knees or backs, Classic Tour has stooping, ducking, crawling, and a short slide, and the Wild Cave Tour for hard core exploration.

At lease Sandra and the grand kids was able to take the Classic Tour, David and I waited outside with dogs. They loved it, well mostly they loved it.
