Day 1 Alaska 06-03-2019
I arrived in Anchorage at 1:00 am on June 3rd, 2019. My daughter and grand kids were already there. I had a short nap of maybe seven hours, she let me sleep in. We ran a few last minute errands before loading the Jeep for the trip. We packed the Jeep as tightly as possible and still get everybody in.
We got off to a late start, I was surprised that Sandra did not want to wait to leave until the next day. We made a mad dash for the bank to purchase some Canadian currency, got there minutes before they locked the doors.
Bob and Angela, my brother-in-law and sister, invited us to dinner. We had dinner at IHOP and enjoyed the break from getting packed and on the road. We had a great visit with them and the break helped with the stress.
We made it our destination in Tok Alaska around 2:00 am, it never really got dark it was darkish but not dark. The amount of daylight and all the time zone changes really messed with my sleeping pattern.
I have been looking forward to this trip for a few months. Now it is happening!

Quick Note
I have been pondering, not so much on the art of taking photographs, more on what the intended purpose of taking the photograph. Many of the photographs are taken on this trip are through a car window or includes, what I call clutter. After considering the purpose of the photo I an okay with it.
