Back in the mid-1970s, when I was a young kid we lived outside of Dutton Montana, on a large farm. We did not farm the land. We rented the home and some of the land around. We were 12 miles from town and 2 miles down a dirt road off the highway. Our closest neighbors were 1 1/2 miles away through the fields. Our neighbors were DeBruycker Charolais Jackie DeBrucker and I were in the same class at school.
Back in my post “Day 6 Canada Montana 06-08-2019” I one of my daughters and her family to see the old farm. The photo is from the mid-1979s the rest are from June 2019.

This is where the house used to be. It was tore down, because it was collapsing from dis-use.

When I lived there I always thought I wish we were closer to the mountains. When we were there visiting the old farm, I realized despite the lack of trees I missed the old place.
Pretty cool to see the pictures. I was young enough when we moved away from Montana that I really don’t remember living there but oddly enough I still think of it as home.
