Trail-Ready Storage: Lowe’s “Trail Box”

I stopped by my local Lowe’s the other day, originally hunting for a kitchen organizer—but I ended up finding something way more exciting for my Jeep Wrangler.

For a while now, I’ve needed a better way to store my tools and recovery gear. Right now, they’re just bouncing around in the back, and it drives me nuts. So when I spotted a set of rugged-looking containers labeled “Trail Box,” I had to check them out.

First Impressions & Fit Test

There were three sizes available, and the largest one—with wheels—definitely caught my eye. I wasn’t sure it would fit cleanly in the cargo area, so I started with the 60-quart version.

Once I got it home, I was thrilled to see it fit perfectly in the back of my Jeep. It’s deep enough to hold my shovel and axe, with plenty of room left for my recovery strap, air compressor, and smaller tools. No more gear rolling around or getting dirty—it’s a game-changer.

Looking Ahead

I’m already thinking about grabbing a couple more, maybe the smaller size, to organize spare fluids or camping supplies. These Trail Boxes are tough, practical, and surprisingly trail-ready.

Have you tried these Lowe’s Trail Boxes? Or do you have another go-to solution for organizing your Jeep’s cargo area?
